Autodrom is adding events to its 2018 calendar where the Czech Truck Prix is a must

Following negotiations with promoters, the company AUTODROM MOST is gradually adding events to its 2018 season calendar. The two parties have already agreed on the dates of the flagship events. “Every other Wednesday starting on 25th October, we will release information about an event included on the 2018 event calendar. This way, we want to keep the fans in suspense a bit and take them by surprise. The first one is – what else but the FIA European Truck Racing Championship event called the Czech Truck Prix. Most will host this event for the twenty-sixth time,” said Jana Svobodová, the Autodrom Business and Marketing Manager.

The Czech Truck Prix will take place on 31st August to 2nd September next year. Being the most prestigious and the most visited event held at Autodrom, it draws a crowd of almost 100,000 fans from all over Europe as well as other continents every year. It also means an indispensable economic benefit for the whole city and the entire region.

As usual, the race weekend will begin with a racing truck parade through downtown Most, a cultural programme and a driver autograph session on the 1st Square in the city centre on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the spectators can look forward to more support races and a varied programme of side events in addition to glorious duels between heavy-duty racing trucks. The Most Truck Festival, designed not only for forwarding agencies, transport companies and truck enthusiasts, will follow up this year’s successful premiere. Moreover, the organisers also invite the public to attend a stunt show, passenger rides in specially modified cars and helicopter sightseeing flights. Attractions and a lot of entertainment wait for the youngest visitors, too.

The ticket prices remain the same as last year. An adult person shall pay 490 crowns for a one-day ticket for Saturday or Sunday or 150 crowns on Friday. Children under the height of 130 cm are given free entrance. A ticket for taller children and teenagers under the age of 18 year costs 90 crowns on Saturday or Sunday and 40 crowns less on Friday. From now on, tickets are sold on-line through the Autodrom website in the VSTUPENKY (TICKETS) section. For more information on the Czech Truck Prix, click here.

Adam Lacko and his Roudnice-based team Buggyra will defend this year’s championship title next year. Apart from Lacko who had dominated the overall driver ranking almost all season long, it was his team-mate David Vršecký that played a significant part in the double. The two-time European truck racing champion had returned to the world of the ETRC after a year out, and his performances helped Buggyra win the team classification as well.

Although it has been less than three weeks since this year’s ETRC season finale in Jarama, Spain, the team Buggyra doesn’t seem to underestimate anything prior to the new season. That is why the team arrived in the Most Autodrom for two days’ testing as early as last Wednesday. And the two drivers, Adam Lacko and David Vršecký, were present, too. Thus, the team could test the first technical innovations and components in practice in Most. “As far as testing is concerned, we’re at the very beginning. Therefore, of course, it is not clear what the driver line-up for the 2018 season will be like. We will be more specific later,” said Buggyra team manager Jan Kalivoda.
