The 2024 Season Events Calendar

The 2024 season at Most will culminate with the Superbike World Championship (WSBK) for the fourth time. This event enjoys ever-growing popularity with the fans. Of course, the calendar for the next season also features the traditional Czech Truck Prix, which is a round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC), while the season’s top three events include The Most CLASSIC car festival this year.

For the 2024 season, the Most Motor-racing Circuit has prepared a varied mixture of events for the motorsport fans again, which will offer a world show, family entertainment as well as active interconnection between the Autodrom fans and classic cars.

For the fourth time, the biggest event of the next summer in motor sport will be the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK), which attracted 54,000 visitors in 2023, almost a third more than in 2022. Its popularity results not only from an attractive concept of the whole series based on great audience interactivity but also from an unusually competitive grid and thrilling battles. “Already last year, we distinguished the tickets for the Spectator Hill from the ones for the racing paddock, which made it possible to make the superbikes available to even a wider audience. Roughly forty per cent of the spectators used the more reasonable prices and watched the WorldSBK from the Spectator Hill. Adhering to the same principle of the ticket prices and system for the next year, we launch sales already now so that the fans could use the tickets as Christmas gifts for their nearest and dearest,” says Josef Zajíček, Autodrom Most Chief Executive Officer. Due to the Olympic Games, the Most round of the Superbike World Championship will be held on different dates next year: from July 19–21. “Thanks to the Olympic Games, an Olympic Park will be built within the confines of Lake Most, the facilities and capacity of which including its parking area will be available to the WorldSBK visitors. Thus, we should be prepared for an expected fan invasion as much as possible,” says Josef Zajíček describing the ongoing negotiations with the city authorities over how to combine the two events.

The second most visited Most event, a round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship called Czech Truck Prix & NASCAR, will take place as usual again, which is the last summer holiday weekend: August 30 to September 1. Racing trucks as well asNASCAR Euro Series and some support series will race on the track. The aim of the event is to offer entertainment to whole families, which has led to adapting the ticket prices (there is no entrance fee for children within family tickets) and the programme of side events that will offer many attractions. “We want to attract families, and the Czech Truck Prix has always been associated with a varied supporting programme. We’ve got the Truck Fest; this year, the spectators could watch Libor Podmol’s performance, for example, while we want to offer more family attractions next year, which will be free of charge, included in the admission prices,” says Josef Zajíček.

 

This year, the striking fixed stars of the Most calendar has been joined by The Most CLASSIC car festival that combines racing, an exhibition and a reunion of historic cars. In 2023, close to 10,000 visitors could admire as many as five hundred historic cars of all categories. In 2024, the event has been moved in the calendar to an earlier date, September 27–29, and the organisers plan to offer more time participants in driving on the major racing track from among the general public. However, racing cars and competition runs will be on the programme as well. “Our intention is for the Most CLASSIC to gradually become a really great car festival, where historic car owners, collectors and clubs as well as fans and the public will meet. We are the Czech Republic’s leading motor-racing circuit and want to offer the complex facilities to all people,” says Josef Zajíček, who himself owns several old-timers. 

 

The Most calendar for the next season includes a number of other motorsport events such as the automobile FIA CEZ and ESET Cup, IDM (International German Motorcycle Championship), or the Autoshow and Safety Day that traditionally finish the Autodrom season.

 

During the winter break, works will continue at the at the Autodrom Most. Apart from routine maintenance, safety upgrades are planned above all. “Basically, this means reconstruction and modification to run-off zones on the T16 and T17 bends. Further, we plan adjustment to approach to T1 Turn in order to increase safety while bikes are braking, modification to kerbs in the T3 corner and to drainage, and we will start the first phase of guard rail construction in the back of the circuit. Moreover, the control tower will be modified, and radio frequencies extended, and we keep improving the Autodrom-designed supervisory camera system. Last but not least, the designing work on the new medical centre has got under way,” said Circuit Sporting Director Jindřich Hrneček.
