The prestigious Czech Truck Prix gets auspices of Minister Klára Dostálová

The Czech Truck Prix racing weekend, round of the European Truck Racing Championship, which will take place on the 1st and the 2nd of September, for 26th time at Autodrom Most, gets auspices of the Minister of Regional Development, Klára Dostálová. She also confirmed her participation during the opening ceremony of the race weekend.

Czech Truck Prix is the most noticed, the most attractive and the most visited event of the season. Every year, an estimated crowd of 90.000 from Czech Republic and the rest of the world is visiting the Autodrom Most for this event.

Besides the traditional sporting events, Autodrom Most is also organizing a list of other social and educational events for general public. The priority is safety and prevention. It is extensively using its safe driving center, which is unique in its equipment, technology and dimensions. It allows high-speed training without risk of injury or damage, thanks to it being a closed area. Experienced instructors can thus prepare drivers for various situations they encounter every day. Autodrom also organizes yearly training of police, ambulance and fire truck drivers, who saves lives on daily basis.

Home star Adam Lacko from Roudnice’s Buggyra team is the reigning ETRC champion from 2017. He, together with double champion David Vršecký, ended successful season by clinching also teams championship. It appears that Adam will not have an easy races. After four rounds, he is holding second place in the standings, but the 57 points gap on leader Jochen Hahn is quite high. Lacko’s new team mate, Briton Oly Janes, got his first two championship points during the latest Slovakiaring round and Buggyra is fourth in the team standings.

This year’s ETRC began at Italian circuit Misano at the end of May. Next stop was Hungaroring, during the 16th and 17th of June, followed by German track Nürburgring at the beginning of July. Latest championship round took place at Slovakiaring last weekend. 14 days after Most, the teams will travel to Zolder, Le Mans is awaiting them at the end of September, and Jarama another week later on 6th to 8th of October.
