The first day of races of touring and GT cars, formulas and Central European prototypes within The Most FIA CARS CENTRAL Europe Challenge, hosted by the Most Autodrom together with the renewed Octavia Cup series, was a rainy Friday. Rain of varying intensity lasted from the morning until the afternoon. There were therefore fears that the following Saturday and Sunday, when the races themselves were to take place, would also be rainy. But luckily the weather improved, and both fans and drivers enjoyed not only strong engines and fast cars but also plenty of sun and warmth.

The circuit championship of Central Europe, FIA CEZ, which serves as the national championship of metal cars and formulas, included races in divisions D2, D4 and D5. Sports Car Challenge (SCC) prototypes are also part of the series since last year; these were first introduced twenty years ago under the original title "Austria Euroseries". The results of all races of The Most FIA CARS CENTRAL Europe Challenge 2016 and Octavia Cup are available for download here.

The FIA CEZ Central European championship has already completed four racing weekends. This year's opening took place between 28 and 30 April on the Hungaroring, Hungary, and two weeks later the teams were hosted by the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. The next-to-last stop of the championship before Most took place on 4 and 5 June in the Serbian venue of Batajnica; however, none of the Czech racers participated. The Octavia Cup was also organized in parallel to these races in both Hungary and Austria. Both championships will visit the Czech Republic one more time on 10 and 11 September, specifically at the Masaryk Circuit in Brno. The last stop of FIA CEZ will be the Polish city of Poznan.
