2019 ADAC GT Masters: Seven race weekends again

Strong support programme consisting of ADAC Formula 4, ADAC TCR Germany, ADAC GT4 Germany and Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. SPORT1 continues broadcasting

Seven race weekends in Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and the Netherlands, an attractive package consisting of the ADAC TCR Germany, ADAC Formula 4 and the new ADAC GT4 Germany as well as the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, and all races shown live and in full length on SPORT1 just as they have been throughout the current season - the ADAC GT Masters will be sticking to a tried and tested formula next year. As is now customary, Motorsport Arena Oschersleben will be hosting the opening weekend (26th - 28th April 2019). Next year too, there will be a prize pot of ¤500,000 cash or equivalent.

"In 2018, we have witnessed one of the most exciting seasons in the twelve-year history of the ADAC GT Masters," says ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk. "The series has taken another step forward this year, reaching competitive heights never seen before. We intend to build on that in 2019, so we are sticking with a winning formula in terms of the race calendar and also the regulations. We have a promising new addition to the support programme in the shape of the new ADAC GT4 Germany series. This will make race weekends an even more attractive and unique experience for fans and contestants alike."

ADAC Managing Director Lars Soutschka concurs: "Over the past few years, we have been steadily developing the ADAC GT Masters. The fans can look forward to a number of new vehicle models entering the ADAC GT Masters in 2019, and they will also enjoy continued coverage of all races live and in full length from our TV partner SPORT1."

For the twelfth time in a row, the season will open at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben: the dates for 2019 will be the weekend of 26th - 28th April. Next on the itinerary is Most in the Czech Republic (17th - 19th May), hosting the series for the second time. The third fixture on the calendar is an excursion to Austria, namely the Red Bull Ring, on the weekend of 7th - 9th June. At the height of the summer holiday season, the teams and drivers will be competing at Zandvoort in the Netherlands (9th - 11th August) followed by the Nürburgring (16th - 18th August). The penultimate race weekend of the campaign will be contested at the Hockenheimring (13th - 15th September), and for the first time since 2008, the honour of staging the grand finale of the ADAC GT Masters goes to the Sachsenring (27th - 29th September).

The touring cars of the ADAC TCR Germany will be competing on all seven weekends of the season. The new ADAC GT4 Germany and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will be on the support programme on six occasions. The 2019 ADAC Formula 4 will be contested at all of the ADAC GT Masters venues in Germany, at the Red Bull Ring and Zandvoort. The ADAC is currently negotiating with Formula 1 to stage one of the ADAC Formula 4 weekends in the context of the Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 Grand Prix of Germany, just like this year.

The ADAC GT Masters regulations will remain broadly unchanged in 2019, with only minor adjustments planned. Early registration for the 2019 ADAC GT Masters begins on 3rd December and ends on 14th December of this year. Close of nominations is 15th March 2019. 28 starting numbers will be assigned to cars in the order that payments of the nominations are received. The ADAC reserves the right to allocate a further six starting positions.
